The Drop-Down List Box Fails to Display on the Top of the Add Device Window

Issue Description

After you double-click Devices under Users and Devices on the left of the Workspace tab page, the Devices tab page is displayed. On the Local Domain tab page, select a node in the lower portion, click Add Device in the upper right corner of the lower portion, and choose Add Device from the shortcut menu. The Add Device window is displayed successfully. However, when you want to click the downward arrow to select a value for a parameter, the drop-down list box fails to display on the top of the Add Device window, as shown in Figure 2-3.

Handling Process

Step 1 Close the Add Device window and restart the eSpace IVS C/S client or  restart the computer. Then go to the next step.
Step 2 Check whether the fault is rectified.
If the fault is rectified, no further action is required. If the fault persists, contact Huawei technical support engineers.

Root Cause

The rendering mechanism of the Windows XP operating system results in abnormal window sequencing.
