Issue Description

What Protocols Does Port Mapping Support and Does Port Mapping Exert Any Impacts on the Resolution of Well-Known Ports in Use?

Solution

The firewall supports port mapping for the following protocols:
  • ftp
  • h323
  • http
  • rtsp
  • smtp
  • sqlnet

A protocol can be mapped to multiple ports. You can also use ACL 2000 for host port mapping (ACL matching based on the packet destination IP address). The firewall supports mapping of a maximum of 10,000 ports.

Port mapping exerts no impact on the resolution of well-known ports in use.
