FAQ-What Does an IKE Peer Use an IKE Proposal for

Publication Date:  2015-07-02 Views:  603 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

What Does an IKE Peer Use an IKE Proposal for?

If an IKE proposal is configured for an IKE peer (the initiator), the initiator uses the configured IKE proposal to negotiate with the peer. If no IKE proposal is configured, the initiator sends all IKE proposals to the peer for negotiation in main mode and employs the default proposal in aggressive mode. As a receiver, the IKE peer uses all IKE proposals to match those sent from the initiator.
