1. Log in to the Integrated Storage Manager (ISM) of the media server as user admin. The default password is Admin@storage.
2. In the navigation bar, choose Backup Management > Backup Configuration. In the function pane on the right, click Name Management.
The Name Management dialog box is displayed.
3. Click Add.
The Add Network Host dialog box is displayed.
4. In the Host name area, enter the host name of the client. In the IP address area, enter the IP address of the client. Click OK.
The Succeeded dialog box is displayed.
5. Click OK.
6. Perform the backup job again.
In most cases, faults of status 48 occur because the hosts file does not contain the host name resolution of the client. Check whether the hosts file of the master server or media server is correctly configured.
