Difficult to Operate the Mouse on the KVM Interface

Publication Date:  2015-07-30 Views:  135 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

When the KVM function is enabled through the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) of the HDP3500E, the mouse is difficult to operate on the DOS or BIOS interface. The mouse pointer on the KVM interface does not lap over the actual mouse pointer.

Handling Process

1.  On the KVM interface, choose Options > Single Mouse (Alt+Tab to Release).

In this mode, the mouse is locked on the KVM interface. You can press Alt+Tab to release the lock.

2.  On the KVM interface, check whether the mouse pointer on the KVM interface laps over the actual mouse pointer.
  • If yes, the fault is rectified.
  • If no, contact the technical support engineers of your vendor.

Root Cause

Not supported by a universal graphical interface, the resolution of the mouse is different from that of the KVM interface.
