FAQ-What Can I Do If the Video Appears in Black and White Only

Publication Date:  2015-08-06  |   Views:  589  |   Downloads:  0  |   Document ID:  EKB1000083887

Issue Description

When the ViewPoint 9036 endpoint transmitted video to the VP9035A, the video displayed onVthe VP9035A's monitor was black and white. Why?

This is probably caused by a mismatch between the input and output modes.

To address this issue, change the input mode of the VP9035A so that it is the same as the output mode of the ViewPoint 9036.
  • If the ViewPoint 9036's output mode is CVBS, change the VP9035A's input mode to CVBS.
  • If the ViewPoint 9036's output mode is S-Video, change the VP9035A's input mode to SVideo.
To change the VP9035's input mode, use either of the following methods:
  • From the remote controlled UI, choose Settings > Video > Video Input > SD IN 1.
  • From the web interface, choose System Settings > Input/Output > Video Input > SD IN1.
