A Codec Is Indicated as Disconnected from the Telepresence Host

Issue Description
On the telepresence host web interface, a red cross is displayed near a codec, indicating that the codec is disconnected from the telepresence host.
Handling Process
Step 1 Check that the codec and telepresence host are correctly linked to each other.

1. Log in to the telepresence host web interface. On the displayed page, right-click Telepresence Host and choose Settings from the shortcut menu.
2. Under IP for Communication Between Telepresence Host and Codecs, set the internal IP address for the problematic codec, as shown in Figure 4-4.

3. Log in to the codec web interface. Choose System Settings > Network. Under Others on the Security and Service tab, enter the internal IP address of the telepresence host in Telepresence IP address, as shown in Figure 4-5.

Step 2 On the telepresence host web interface, click System Settings. On the Users tab:

 Under HTTP Client User, set Name and Password to api.
 Under Telnet Client User, set Name to apiuser and leave Password blank.

Step 3 On the codec web interface, choose System Settings > Users. Under Settings of API User, set User name and User password to api, as shown in Figure 4-7.

Root Cause
1.  The codec and telepresence host are incorrectly linked to each other.

2.  The passwords on the telepresence host or codec are incorrect.
