Presentation issue: image is larger than the TV screen

Publication Date:  2015-09-15 Views:  179 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

The issue appeared on a TP3118s.

When connected to a conference the content of the presentation is not displayed properly – a portion of the margins is not displayed and the image was larger than the TV set although it was correctly displayed on the table tops screens .

If we disconnect from the conference, then the content of the presentation is displayed correctly.

The issue was present on all 3 TV screens (Panasonic TH_65PF30G). Endpoints used are 9039A -T with the following firmware version:V100R011C03B015SP02.

Handling Process

This appeared to be a video output issue. Checked the video output settings on each codec and tried to apply certain changes onto the stretch settings:

However, this did not help as the presentation did not change during conferences.

The second step taken during the troubleshooting process was setting the position and size for the DVI Video Source as per the below steps:

     1. Log in to the telepresence host's web interface. Right-click one of the HD displays, and select Settings to display the HD display settings page

     2. Access the Picture Position/Size menu. Set the parameters according to the specifications provided in the following table (since the video source was 720p):

Horizontal position

Horizontal size

Vertical position

Vertical size

Once the above settings were applied onto the TV screens the presentation was displayed correctly and case was solved.
Root Cause
As per the troubleshooting process above on the Picture Position/Size menu of the TV there were no settings.

The correct settings were applied using the host and accesing the Picture Position/Size menu of the TV screens as per below menu and the issue was solved:
