3G-SDI of TE50 connect the Sony camera and can not show video

Publication Date:  2015-10-13 Views:  2047 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

As the picture as below, when Sony EVI-D100 camera connect to the 3G-SDI to TE50,it cannot show video

Handling Process

Step 1,Check the guidance of TE50,if it can support this type of Camera.

Step 2,Check the Video input status and choose the correct name and camera type, but the issue is still exist.

Step 3

1,Check the input interface status, and see the 3G-SDI is connected or not, from the picture we can find the 3G-SDI is disconnected. This maybe lead by cable,3G-SDI port and Camera. When use the same cable and camera connect directly to display,it is ok,can show video,so the camera and the cable is ok,when we change another TE50,also the same issue,so the probability of  TE50 3G-SDI fault is slim.

2,Then connect the 3G-SDI input to 3G-SDI output directly and check the input interface status. It is also disconnected(The truth is the customer misunderstand our meaning, they did not do connection with 2 3G-SDI port, they have no cable with both end are 3G-SDI).

Root Cause

So we take a photo about the cable and the camera.we find the 2 end of the cable is not same, one is 3G-SDI,another is AVI port. And also the sony camera do not have the 3G-SDI port,TE50 can not support Interface conversion from 3G-SDI to AVI port.

If need to support sony camera,we need connect use the AVI cable and on the side of TE50 need to connect CVBS input port, picture as below.
