Fiber connection failure while connecting WSMD4 with WSMD4

Publication Date:  2015-10-20 Views:  430 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

While creating the fiber connections on NMS(Signal Flow Diagram), the interconnection between WSMD4 boards from DM3
port to AM3 port failed, please check below configuration and error:

Equipment information:

OSN6800 V100R007C02SPC300

U2000 V100R009C00SPC301

As I confirm with HQ, we only can create one fiber between two WSMD4 boards.

That fiber is used for one certain direction, there is no need to create two fiber in the same direction.

If we can create two fiber in the same direction,  NMS will not know which port should be used when creating the path automatically.

According to this document, DM1/AM1 can process single –wavelength signal or multiplexed signal.

So the rest of 3 lambdas can bypass from one DM port to another AM port.
