One way audio with TE Desktop on Windows 10

Issue Description

Customer complained there is one way voice for using TE Desktop application.

He can receive audio stream but he can't produce audio stream.

No firewall active, no blocked ports, administrative rights for the application.

He has tested with V100R001C10SPC400 and V100R001C10SPC700.

Tested on Toshiba laptop - Windows10 64 bit - i7 CPU - 8 GB RAM


Handling Process

1. Requested the customer to upgrade to another version (V100R001C10SPC700) - Issue still present

2. Requested to test with other soft phones - issue still present

3. Tested on an older windows version (windows 7) - issue no longer present

Root Cause

The TE Desktop up to V100R001C10SPC700 is compatible with Windows 10, but there are one way voice issues.


Install TE Desktop up to V100R001C10SPC700 to non virtual machine and running Windows 7.

It worked on Toshiba laptop - Windows 7 64 bit Profesional - i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70 GHz 2.40 GHz - 8 GB RAM


Hasn't been tested on Windows 8 or 8.1 and on windows 7 installed on virtual machine.
