Voice VLAN application for Switch S5700

Issue Description

Problem: Voice traffic is sensitive so it should has higher priority then data traffic

Product name: S5700, IP telephone

Software version: Quidway S5700 V200R003C00SPC300

Network topology:

Configuration: We need to configure like two VLANs on the same switch interface



In case of IP telephone can obtain voice VLAN information on the switch, it will send tagged voice packets

Configuring Voice VLAN on the switch interface that connected to the IP telephone, when receiving packets from the PC and IP telephone, the switch check the VLAN IDs in the packets whether it match the configured voice VLAN ID, if it match the switch consider this traffic as voice traffic and will increase it's priority

The switch adds VLAN tag of the PVID to untagged packets from the PC

Now we separte voice traffic from data traffic in different VLANs on the same interface, voice traffic will be tagged from IP telephone and encapsulated with a VLAN and Data traffic will be tagged qnd encapsulated with a diffrenet VLAN
