Issue Description

Fault symptom: When the customer use bonded NICs on 5500V3 storage, the hosts can ping the storage service IP address but can't connect iSCSI target. If they disable bonding on storage, it works okay.

Version information: 5500V3 V300R002C10SPC200,  Host OS version: Windows 2012R2

Networking topology: Double switches(Huawei 10GE)

Alarm Information

Alarm on Window hosts as below:

There's no alarm on storage.

Handling Process

1. Since storage ports are bonded, we also need to bond the coresponding ports on switch.

We can use command "display eth-trunk [trunk ID]" on Huawei switch to check if the customer have configured trunk.

Also, since 5500V3 storage only support dynamic LACP mode, we need to check if the customer configure trunk in this mode.

2. We need to check whether iSCSI target IP address is configured on physical port. For V300R002 storage, logical port is just for NAS service and physical port is for IPSAN.

1. Configure iSCSI IP on physical bonding port;

2. Configure port trunk mode as dynamic LACP on switch;
