Issue Description

 LLDP don't work correctly

AR2240  and S5700

AR2240 GigabitEthernet0/0/2 is directly connected to S5700 GigabitEthernet0/0/24 (by fiber optics) LLDP is globaly enabled on both devices.

Handling Process

First of all need check configuration, if cofiguration is correct, collect trafic capture and log.

In packet we will see that there is lldp between devices, so S5700 must receive lldp frames correctly, if we look at configuration we will see “bpdu disable” at interface.

This is our problrm becasuse lldp is also bpdu and all bpdu's will be droped saw neighbour can be seen at this interface.

Root Cause

for this isuue root cause is configuration error

customer configure “bpdu disable” but LLDP packet is also BPDU packets and will be droped by this


configured “bpdu disable”in S5700 interface, need delete it.
