An Error Occurs When a User Installs Office 2013 on Windows 7

Issue Description

A user installs the Office 2013 English enterprise edition on the 32-bit version of Windows 7 (English version). When the user double-clicks setup.exe, an error dialog box is displayed. The system cannot go to the installation page.

The following figure shows environment information.

Handling Process

Workaround: Before a personal computer (PC) or software client (SC) is used, change PcscLoadDll.dll to PcscLoadDll.dll.bak, and then continue the installation

Root Cause

When Office 2013 is being installed, DLL file PcscLoadDll.dll is incorrectly invoked. As a result, installation initialization fails. The following shows the detailed analysis procedure:

1.         Use Process Explorer to check the DLL invoking status of setup.exe. Display the DLL files occupied by this program.


2、Select the Office installation program setup.exe to check its DLL information. As shown in the following figure, Huawei PcscLoadDll.dll, DllLoad. dll, or LoadDLL.dll is incorrectly invoked. As a result, installation fails

3.         PcscLoadDll.dllbelongs to AccessAgent. Change PcscLoadDll.dll to PcscLoadDll.dll.bak. Then reopen the Office installation program. The program can be installed normally.




Preventive measure: Use FusionAccess V100R005C30 or later.
