Issue Description

The UPS2000-G-3KVA has a Critical Alarm <Output overload>, ID=0066-02.

UPS2000-G-3KVA switched from Normal mode to Bypass mode.

Handling Process

The Critical Alarm <Output overload, ID=0066-02 > usually is triggered because the Load is more than 110% of the rated load.

The impact on the System:  UPS transfers to bypass mode.

A possible cause: is that the load exceeds the UPS rated loading capacity. Due to this, I asked the customer to measure the load connected to the UPS2000-G-3KVA or to take a screen shot of the WebUI monitoring page.

Customer reply:

Root Cause

For UPS2000-G-3KVA:

The power ratio=0.8

The max. active power =   3000VA * 0.8=  2.4kW

In our case the Active power is 2.9kW. Which means that the load connected is too big.

Also the critical <Output overload> alarm was triggered because the high Load.

The solution for this case is to reduce the Load or to replace the UPS2000-G-3KVA with one which has a larger capacity.
