Customize Key For Call back with Recording

Issue Description

 

 U1981 Version: V200R003C20SPC300B015


For call back feature in U1981, there is default key "5" with Recording "To enable Call Back, Please Press 5".

Customer requirement is to change the key to "6" with audio recording "To enable Call Back, Please Press 6". 

There is option in U1981 to change the key from "5" to "6" using command line/LMT. But recording customer hear is still "To enable Call Back, Please Press 5" . This require customization to achive the result.

Furthermore when we enter the command to change the call back key from "5" to "6", following message display's



Solution

 

 Complete and step by step procudure is mentioned below:

  • I have decided to modify the voice files of U1981, so that i can achive the recording "To enable Call Back, Please Press 6". i have done below steps to do so
  • We know that all the voice files of U1900 series gatesways can be found in the LMT folder with U1900 software.
  • First step is to identify which are the relevant voice files that required to be modified. So those files were 21.pcm 144.pcm and 132.pcm.
  • Convert those pcm files to wav or mp3 format.
  • After that i use one tool "Audacity" and put above files into that software and modify so that instead of "5" recording should be played for "6". please be Noted that 21.pcm contains voice file "Six". All files including wav and pcm attached for your reference.Snspshot of audacity is below:


 

  • After modification,convert new files into pcm again put them into voice folder and upload that to U1981.
  • actually modified files were 144.pcm and 132.pcm.
  • Verify the operation by enabling call back, New recording would be enabled.
