How can I change the Oracle password validity period

Solution

Log in to SUSE Linux as the root user.

Run the following command to log in to the Oracle database:

# su - oracle

sqlplus system/password

NOTE: The variable password is set during Oracle database installation. Enter the actual password.




Run the following commands to change the Oracle password validity period to an unlimited validity period:

SQL> ALTER PROFILE DEFAULT LIMIT PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME UNLIMITED;

SQL> exit
