Configure DHCP on S series switch

Publication Date:  2016-11-24 Views:  1153 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

Configure DHCP on S series switch.

Solution

The S series switches (excluding the S1700) can function as a DHCP server to assign IP addresses to clients or as a DHCP client to obtain IP addresses from a DHCP server. When the DHCP client and DHCP server are on different network segments, the S series switches (excluding the S1700) can also function as a DHCP relay to help the DHCP server to allocate IP addresses to clients. In addition, the S series switches (excluding the S1700) support DHCP snooping to prevent DHCP attacks. For detailed configuration methods and support status, see:

- DHCP support on S series switches
- Configure DHCP server on S series switches
- Configure DHCP relay on S series switches
- Configure DHCP client on S series switches
