Issue Description

An XXX needs to transport a customer's LACP information inside its backbone.

The network is equipped with a Huawei S6720 switch on one side and a XXX switch on other side.

In Huawei's documentation there is information that to configure an L2TP tunnel to transmit the LACP information it is necessary to configure the group-mac and mentions as a suggestion the MAC 0100-XXXX-0100.

#

L2protocol-tunnel lacp group-mac 0100-XXXX-0100

#

Among Huawei´s equipments works perfectly, but when we need to configure between Huawei and another manufacturer does not establish the tunnel.

Handling Process

Capturing packages we found that the XXXX and XXX devices use the MAC 0100-XXXX-cdd0.

When we change the configuration of MAC from Huawei to what is recognized by default by these two manufacturers the tunnel is established without any other problem.

Here's the final configuration on the Huawei side:

vlan batch 3901 to 3948

#

l2protocol-tunnel lacp group-mac 0100-XXXX-cdd0

#

vlan 3901

vlan 3902

#

interface XGigabitEthernet0/0/4

port link-type dot1q-tunnel

port default vlan 3901

l2protocol-tunnel lacp enable

#

interface XGigabitEthernet0/0/5

port link-type dot1q-tunnel

port default vlan 3902

l2protocol-tunnel lacp enable

#
