Issue Description

This KB article will help you patch a S5700-52C-PWR-SI stack switch from version V200R005C00SPC300 and patch s5700si-v200r005sph008.pat to patch 5700si-v200r005sph013.pat.

The command used is patch load 5700si-v200r005sph013.pat all and receive alarm below:

Handling Process

First we need to check the patch-information, we see that it’s the right one but we see also that the patch 5700si-v200r005sph013.pat does not exists on two slaves.

We should get the output of each slot of the stack to verify the space for slots and then delete unnecessary files from the slaves to free up space.

Commands to view per slot flash are below:

<s5700>cd slot0#flash:

<s5700>cd slot4#flash:

Root Cause

The root cause was that even though the master had space enough, two slaves had no enough space for the patch files.

Before to start a patch upgrade on a stack, please verify all the slots to have enough space to fit the files, not only the master.

Then use command patch load 5700si-v200r005sph013.pat all run
