Blade SN Mismatch
1. Based on operation log, there is no record of manual modification on node board SN number after year 2015, we can conclude the problem is not cause by human act.
2. As we can see the BMC version is 1.70 which is quite old.
And based on research, the version contains the issue as following:
· DTS2015091412059【 electronic label synchronization 】there is a possibility that the electronic label of X6800 node board fails to be synchronized.
Therefore, it can be assured that the BMC version of 1.7 has the issue in synchronizing SN number.
There is a possibility that the client has perform the action of reseating the blade, plug it to another chassis. But the SN does not synchronized as BMC 1.7 has the problem mentioned above.
The problem of BMC has been solved in version 1.82.
Based on the current situation, kindly upgrade BMC to latest 2.42 version. BIOS and CPLD are recommended to upgrade as well when the server is not in service as the will require the restart of server.
