Random select SSID to connect when roaming

Issue Description

When connect to Staff SSID and roaming, then connect to guest SSID, after that again connect to Staff SSID and roaming again. If disconnect happening (when use elevator for example), the phone will connect to Guest SSID not to last SSID (Staff SSID).

Handling Process

1. Check the roam track for terminal, the station offline from PASI SSID and after seconds it connect to Guest SSID:


2. Check the roaming for PASI SSID, little delay:


3. Check the roaming for Guest SSID, its OK:


4. The terminal connect process:
a.      Terminal is on PASI SSID, and then offline.

 b.     Later, terminal connect to Guest SSID.

 c. Then, terminal is offline from Guest SSID.

d. And, after some seconds, it associate to PASI SSID.

e. Finally, terminal disassociate from PASI and connect to Guest SSID.


Root Cause

In the process of roaming, if terminal goes offline, when it connect again, terminal will connect SSID random.


Configure the radio profile to increasing the terminal signal strength before it disconnect from AP and connect to another AP:
radio-profile name 2.4G id 0
  sta-forced-offline signal-strength threshold -80
radio-profile name 5G id 1
  sta-forced-offline signal-strength threshold -80
