FAQ-Inverted view issue on VPC500/520 cameras

Issue Description

Multiple customers does not know how to properly install, setup and configure the correct parameters. This is one isolated case, but occurs pretty often. This case will help/guide you on how to properly change the parameters regarding the image inversion of a VPC camera.


Regarding the image invertion you need to know the following:

Image inversion

Specifies whether the video input from the camera is rotated by 180 degrees. When the camera is hung, set this parameter to Enable.

The default value is Disable.

Therefore, if the camera is placed normaly and not hung up, the parameter Image inversion (from the web adminitrative interface) should be set to Disable.

Connect to the web administrative interface and go to Device Control -> C500/C520 as per below image:
If the above step does not correct the inversion issue proceed with the following steps from the camera itself:
a. Press the SET button to select FLIP.
b. Press the MODE button to change between modes – make sure that the video flipping is disabled/OFF.

If the camera is hung up, then the parameter should be set to Enable, as per below image:
