Issue Description

MAC Client facing poor performance issues, an average of 30MB/s even though the read and write latency delay are low.

Current MAC OS version: 10.6.8

Handling Process

1. Checking the performance through by collecting the performance logs and analyse it through

2. The latency delay of read and write are respectively low. However, the read and write bandwidth are low.

3.  After checking MAC OS Client is using SMBv1 protocol which slowing down the performance.

Root Cause

The root cause of this issue is due to the low version of of MAC OS Client below(10.9.x) which does not support SMBv3.

Install or upgrade the MAC OS Client to 10.9.x above which support SMBv3.
