We are facing an issue in wifi signals we have
1. AC 6005-8,
2. AP 8130DN connected with 19dbi antennas for both 2.4 & 5GHz
3. s2700 Sw
The RSSI we are getting is -80 to -90 even when we are near to the antennas ,Customer request Huawei to guide me in increasing the strength of wifi signals .
Down angle calculation
Experience has shown that the better way is to align the 3dB point of the main lobe of the antenna to the cell edge, as shown in the following figure:
Where D is the cell radius, H is the antenna height, α is the antenna dip angle, and β is the vertical half power angle of the antenna. According to the above figure we can see:
1, α = γ + β / 2,
2, tanγ = H / D, that is, γ = arctan (H / D)
Therefore, the antenna inclination angle α = arctan (H / D) + β / 2
Into the numerical calculation, the installation height H = 5m, covering the distance D = 50m, the antenna vertical half power angle β = 15 °, that is, the antenna down angle:
α = arctan (H / D) + β / 2 = arctan (5/50) +15/2 = 5.7 + 7.5 = 13.2 °
Important note, the dip angle for the pure theoretical calculation, for reference only, in the actual delivery of the project, need to be adjusted according to the site environment , so we suggest request Huawei local office engineer support on the site .
