How to Install eSight Oracle Database from CLI instead of GUI

Issue Description

When trying to install Oracle for eSight with Full installation method using the GUI mentioned on the guide it get stuck on the initial screen and is not possible to continue the installation

Handling Process


  • Follow all the previous steps for the eSight installation for Full installation on Linux environment
  • Make sure all the Permissions and settings has been performed
  • Its necessary to have the eSight Component (oracle) DVD or ISO to perform this installation


  1. Insert the DVD or mount the ISO to the Linux Server
  2. Open a CLI terminal and Navigate to the DVD root folder
  3. Run the install Script with "./install Command"
  4. Wait for the Script to finish, it will take about 30 minutes to finish the installation
  5. Run the following scripts to finish the configuration:
  6. The Installation Script also creates eSight Database instance, Listener and Service Name File, delete them and create from scratch following the Guide, this to avoid any possible miss configuration due to the script created Database.
  7. Continue the Full Installation guide to finish the eSight Installation.

Install the Oracle Database System using the above guide and continue the installation following the Documentation Guide.
