Turning off CIFS feature (no longer required)

Issue Description

The customer would like our  advise on the best way to disable the CIFS feature and any effect it will have on the F/C connections when disabling takes place on both nodes.


The CIFS feature can simply be disabled in the device manager it will not affect the block storage service.


1. Log in to DeviceManager.

2. Choose Settings > Storage Settings > File Storage
Service > CIFS Service.

3. In CIFS Service, deselect Enable.

4. Click Save.

The Warning dialog box is displayed.

5. Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I
have read and understood the consequences associated with performing this
operation. Then click OK.

The Success dialog box is displayed.

6. Click OK.
