Pixelated video and black sporadic frames in cameras connected to VCN3010

Issue Description

Customer reports an issue with the video in more than 100 cameras connected to the same VCN, the video in the VCN is appearing pixelated, camera and VCN models below.










Connected to VCN3010

Server model: VCN3010 (standalone)

S/N: 2102311NDM10G5000004

IVS version: V100R002C20SPC200

No alarm Information, only the symptom



Handling Process

Remote connection to the VCN3010 in order to check the parameters of the VCN3010.

We checked the configuration of the VCN and saw the issue in the video,

When we entered to the configuration of the VCN we found the Parameters below.


Stream – Primary Stream

Encoding Format – H.265

I-frame Interval – 60

Resolution: 1280*720(720p)

Transmission Protocol RTCP over UDP

Frame Rate 25

Bit rate 2048

Root Cause

We asked to the customer the wireshark in the VCN, here below we can see the packet lost,

the packet loss must be no more than 3% and the customer has values of up to 9%






for the packet loss we selected H.264

NOTE: this doesnt fix the issue, because this is a network problem, but this help to reduce the pixelated video.

at the end we explained this to the customer.
