Issue Description

The main problem is that the CH121 V3 can't boot on PXE for installing OS

Alarm Information

The alarm is related to the PXE boot option even if the BIOS is set up to Legacy Mode:

PXE-E18: Server response timeout.

Handling Process

Check first the BIOS settings , if the boot option is not set up to Legacy mode, it will not work to boot, this is the only way for Stateless Computing Management.

Root Cause

In most of the cases , the PXE-E18: Server response timeout, is referring to the network port that need to be changed or need to change the boot source

In that case, the client cannot boo on PXE the node in order to install the OS. The main root causes came from the IBMC Boot Medium option, need to be set to "PXE" , not to "No Override"

First use the boot mode: PXE and then after the PXE boot need to reboot and then try again:

after performing this steps we can see that the PXE was set up successfully :

Need to check first the BIOS boot mode to be sure that is set up to : Legacy Mode.

If it was set up to Legacy Mode and again not work to boot on PXE , need to change the Boot Medium to be set to value: "PXE" , not to be set up to: "No Overrride" like below:
