Customer encountered an issue when configuring the override forwarding feature enabled for users that work in basic manager/assistant mode configured using the feature codes *77*TN# for manager and *77*DN*SSSSSS# for secretary. Some people need to call directly the manager and he has the following extensions configured in this scenario:
Phone C: 2978
He wants the 2978 extension to call directly the manager 2580, so he configure this command:
config modify subscriber dn 2978 operatenewservice add newservicerights overcfx
From the configuration provided by the customer, he has activated the forward override rights for user 2978 so when this user will call user B, as in our case 2580, who has registered the call forwarding service; user's 2580 call forwarding service will not take effect.
The problem is that when phone C call to 2580 Manager, the call is automatically sent to assistant 2459.
We have later found out that phone 2978 is not a Huawei phone and it is a third party SIP phone and as such we have required the customer to test the scenario using a Huawei IP Phone using the exact same extensions.
Customer tested this scenario and the issue was still present.
Deactivating the Service
The service can be deactivated in either of the following ways:
· Manager A dials #77#. An announcement is played, indicating that the service is deactivated successfully.
· Secretary B dials #77*DN#. An announcement is played, indicating that the service is deactivated successfully.
config modify subscriber dn <string> operatenewservice add newservicerights cfu
4. Set the override forward for the extension 2978
The global override function does not take effect when the involved users are configured with the basic manager/secretary service.
After applying the above commands in this case if user C 2978 who has activated the override forward function will call directly user 2580 the call forwarding will no longer take place
