This article explains how to configure the VideoLAN VLC media player to stream live or on demand streams through RTSP/RTP over TCP (RTSP/RTP interleaved) from the IPC Huawei cameras.
I have tested the scenario in our lab environment and you can change the parameter in the RTSP stream to reflect the stream type configured in the web interface of the IPC camera.

Based on the stream used and configured: Primary stream, Secondary stream 1 and Secondary stream 2 you can choose any of the below RTSP stream URLs to view the stream in VLC media player:
To switch VLC from HTTP streaming to RTP/RTSP streaming:
By default, VLC media player is configured with a very small caching buffer. This can lead to choppy playback initially but it will eventually smooth out over time as VLC automatically increases the size of this buffer. The steps below explain how to change the default cache size before connecting to the stream.
