how to disable icmp reply on AR1220E




Solution

For AR router, it doesn’t support disable ping reply. By default, router will reply the icmp request.

 

Solution:

Before modify:


Using traffic policy  deny the icmp packet

1:Configure ACL 3001

acl number 3001  

 rule 5 deny icmp destination X.X.3.3 0 

2:Configure traffic classifier

traffic classifier test operator or

 if-match acl 3001

3:Configure traffic behavior

traffic behavior test

 deny

4:Configure traffic policy

traffic policy test

 classifier test behavior test

5:Apply it under the interface

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/1

 ip address X.X.3.3  255.255.255.0

 traffic-policy test inbound 

After modify:
