Publication Date:  2018-08-14 Views:  579 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

U2000 Version V200R017C60SPC200Suse 12 - Linux - VMWARE

When tried to start the U2000 services, the following error occurs:

============================ Starting the system...

============================ Starting the daemon...

Testing the host type...

Testing the database...

testDB catch an database exception.

ct_connect(): protocol specific layer: external error: The
attempt to connect to the server failed.

The possible cause is that the username or password
configured for the eamdb database in the
/opt/oss/server/etc/conf/sysconfigure.xml is incorrect, or the database eamdb
username is locked.

============================ Failed to start the daemon.

From the error code description, there must be a problem with the dbuser.

Need to be checked on the server side if the dbuser is locked. The following commands can be used:

# isql -SDBSVR -Usa -PXXX
> sp_locklogin
> go

where XXX is the password

If the dbuser is locked, need to use the commands to unlock it:

> sp_locklogin dbuser,"unlock"
> go

After the dbuser is unlocked, check if the U2000 processes can start.
