Issue Description

In a dual-ME60 hot backup networking scenario, an error message is displayed when a static user is configured using the static-user command on the master and backup ME60s.

Run the following commands:
static-user *.*.219.21 *.*.219.30 gateway *.*.219.1 interface GigabitEthernet1/1/11.219 vlan 219 domain-name st_domain dectect

Error message:
The static user *.*.219.21 failed to apply for IP address from the IP-pool

Handling Process

1. Run the display access-user ip-address command to check information about the access user with a specified IPv4 address. It is confirmed that the IP address *.*.219.21-*.*.219.30 is not used by an online user.

2. However, an error is still reported when the static user is configured. If no services can be affected, shut down the interface through which the static user goes online using the shutdown interface GigabitEthernet1/1/11.219 command.

3. An error is reported when the static user is configured. If no service can be affected, run the cut access-user command to disconnect the sessions of one or more online users. Then, the static user is successfully configured.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[HUAWEI] aaa                                                             //
[HUAWEI-aaa] cut access-user ip-pool ip219      //Disconnect a user session based on the address pool to which the IP address of a static user belongs.

Root Cause

Before configuring a static user, ensure that the following address resources have been defined on the device:
dhcp-server group ip219
dhcp-server *.*.7.252
dhcp-server *.*.7.253
dhcp-server giaddr ip-address *.*.219.2
undo release-agent
ip pool ip219 bas remote
gateway *.*.219.1 255.255.255.0
dhcp-server group ip219
warning-threshold 80
Before configuring a static user, ensure that the involved IP address is not used by an online user.
