How does the N8500 work with a DNS server to implement load balancing?
The N8500 typically implements load balancing with an external DNS server. The implementation process is as follows:
1. On the DNS server, set host names for the N8500 and specify IP addresses for these host names. The IP addresses are the virtual IP addresses assigned to all nodes of the N8500.
Typically, network ports of the N8500 are bound, and each node is assigned only one virtual IP address. Each IP address specified on the DNS server corresponds to one engine node.
2. Perform round robin on the DNS server to evenly assign the service hosts that access the N8500 to each IP address. Each engine node corresponds to one IP address. Therefore, the service hosts are evenly assigned to each engine node.
