SWDL_CHGMNG_NOMATCH alarm on SCC board OSN 1800V

Publication Date:  2019-01-18 Views:  459 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

After the software  had been uploaded on the OptiX OSN 1800 V we received SWDL_CHGMNG_NOMATCH alarm.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

1. Checked if the SCC software board is matching with NE software.

NE software

Boards software

Having the fact that the SCC software and NE software is matching, we need to make sure that software package had been loaded successfully.

2.  verify if the status of  SCC is normal, on the Configuration Tree -> 1+1 protection

3. If step 2 is ok, please upload the corresponding software on the NE.

In our case  Optix OSN 1800V100R006C20SPC500(F3SCC,F5SCC,Z5SCC) software, you can find the patch on the next link:

Root Cause

The software packets on the NE didn't load correctly.

Re-upload the software packages in a service window.

The alarm is generated when the automatic matching function of the software package is not working, this function comes in two stages:

1)    In the startup process, the SCC unit only detects the board version, but does not start auto match of the software package. After the SCC unit is started, it will check whether the boards support package loading. If so, the SCC unit will check whether the software version saved on the board is consistent with the NE software version. This interaction process starts from the startup of the SCC software and continues until the SCC unit changes from the pending stability state to the normal state.

2)    The auto match of the software package starts only after the NE state changes to normal. At this time, if no alarm related to package loading is raised (that is, the alarm that begins with SWDL_), the SCC unit will match the board software automatically. For the boards whose software version is different from that of the NE software, the SCC unit will deliver the board software stored in the SCC unit, and activate the software. If any alarm related to package loading is raised on the NE software, however, the SCC unit will not perform auto match of software, but will report a "replace SCC" alarm.
