Association between VRRP and IP-link on a USG2000&5000
After VRRP is configured to monitor IP-link, if the link monitored by VRRP goes Down, the priority of the VRRP group changes. As a result, an active/standby switchover occurs.
The USG6000 series does not support association between VRRP and IP-link.
Configure association between VRRP and IP-link on a USG2000&5000:
1. Configure IP-link to monitor the indirectly connected interfaces of the USG.
Configure IP-link on USG_A to monitor interface 6.
[USG_A] ip-link check enable
[USG_A] ip-link 1 destination 188.8.131.52 interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/2
2. Configure IP-link on USG_B to monitor interface 8.
[USG_B] ip-link check enable
[USG_B] ip-link 1 destination 184.108.40.206 interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/2
3. Configure VRRP to monitor IP-link.
Configure VRRP group 1 on interface 1 to monitor IP-link 1.
[USG_A] interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/1
[USG_A-GigabitEthernet0/0/1] vrrp vrid 1 track ip-link 1
Configure VRRP group 1 on interface 3 to monitor IP-link 1.
[USG_B] interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/1[USG_B-GigabitEthernet0/0/1] vrrp vrid 1 track ip-link 1
