Users Cannot Access Web Proxy Resources on the Virtual Gateway Page

Publication Date:  2019-01-24 Views:  171 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

Users cannot access web proxy resources on the SSL VPN gateway page.

Handling Process

Cause 1: The network between the gateway and intranet server is unreachable.

1. Log in to the NGFW web UI as an administrator and choose Monitor > Diagnosis Center in the navigation tree.

2. Select Ping and enter the IP address of the intranet server as the IP address of the target host.

3. Click Ping to check the network connection.

If the ping operation fails, the network between the SSL VPN gateway and the intranet server is faulty. In this case, check the links between the gateway and the intranet server. If the links are normal, check the route configuration.

Cause 2: The web service is disabled on the intranet server.

1. If the route is reachable, choose Start > Run in the operating system of the intranet server.

2. In the displayed dialog box, enter cmd and click OK.

3. Run the netstat -anp tcp command in the CLI to check whether the web service port is listening.

If yes, the web service port is enabled.

If no, enable the web service port.

Cause 3: The security policy configuration is incorrect.

1. Log in to the web page of the NGFW as an administrator and choose Policy > Security Policy > Security Policy in the navigation tree.

2. Check the security policy configuration to determine whether a security policy restricts the access of the user to the resource. If yes, modify the configuration of this policy.

Root Cause

Cause 1: The network between the gateway and intranet server is unreachable.
