The Message "Incorrect user name or password" Is Displayed When a User Enters the User Name and Password for Logging In to the SSL VPN Gateway

Publication Date:  2019-01-24 Views:  92 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

The message "Incorrect user name or password" is displayed when a user logs in to the SSL VPN gateway.

Handling Process

Cause 1: The user name or password is incorrect.

Contact the SSL VPN gateway administrator to obtain the correct user name and password.

Cause 2: The authentication server configuration is incorrect.

1.  Log in to the NGFW web UI as an administrator and choose Object > Authentication Server in the navigation tree.

2.  Confirm the configuration of the authentication server corresponding to the authentication domain.

Cause 3: The certificate filtering field is incorrectly configured.

1.  Log in to the NGFW web UI as an administrator and choose Network > SSL VPN > SSL VPN in the navigation tree.

2.  In the Modify Virtual Gateway dialog box, click the Gateway Configuration tab.

3.  Check that the user filtering field is correctly configured.

Cause 4: The time or time zone of the AD server is different from that of the NGFW.

Ad authentication is sensitive to time. Ensure that the system time and time zone of the AD server are the same as those of the NGFW. Otherwise, the authentication fails.

Cause 5: The time difference between the SecurID token and SecurID server is greater than the preset value.

The time difference between the token and SecurID server is set on the SecurID server. If the actual time difference is greater than the set value, the authentication fails.
