The Member Interface That Runs LACP Cannot Be Active

Publication Date:  2019-01-24 Views:  183 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

A member interface that runs LACP cannot be an active interface and cannot carry traffic.

Handling Process

Check the interface configuration and determine whether configuration conflicts exist.

The conditions of the active interface are as follows:

The interface cabling is correct.

It is recommended that unified interface attributes be configured for the member interfaces of a link aggregation group. The attributes include the interface rate (configured using the speed command) and duplex mode (configured using the duplex command).

When an Ethernet electrical interface and an optical interface are added to the same Eth-Trunk interface, you need to configure the same link layer attributes for both interfaces.

The interface types must be the same. For example, a GE interface can be bundled only with another GE interface but not a 10GE interface.

Run the display this command in the interface view to check whether the interface is correctly configured. If any of the preceding conditions is not met, modify the configuration.

Root Cause

Interface configurations conflict. As a result, some interfaces cannot become active.
