Issue Description

Customer reported INTRA_OTU_PS alarm between an OSN1800 connection, and just one node reported a switch process.

Alarm Information

Handling Process

The INTRA_OTU_PS alarm indicates 1+1 protection switching within an OTU board. This alarm is reported when services are switched from the working channel to the protection channel in an intra-board 1+1 protection group.

1. We checked the OPLOG, confirmed that customer didn’t do anything at the time, so the alarm reported by the operation is excluded.

2. We checked the DC data, confirmed that the cause of the alarm is that the optical power of the working link drops.

After 4 seconds, the working link recovered

Root Cause

Because the No.2 1+1 protection configured no-restore, so even working link recovered, the 1+1 protection will not switched back to the working link, and the alarm will not cleared



Solution

 To clear the alarm automatically, 1+1 protection should be configured as restore
