Customer was trying to configure PPPoE on his device but the connection would not establish
Upon further inspection we observed that the router would send the PADI packet to request a connection but no reply was received.
Below is the output received from debugging PPP command

This message would repeat but no reply was received.
The customer found that ISP wold expect a dot1p priority of 0. By default the Huawei AR router generates control packets with the priority of 6.
Because the ISP would expect dot1p priority of 0 the equipment would drop the PADI packets and would not send a reply to the AR
After modifying the dot1p priority of the AR to 0 using the command “set priority dot1p 0 in system-view the PPPoE connection was established and the link worked as intended
