Traffic Policy Statistics on an NE40E Interface Are Abnormal

Publication Date:  2019-03-27 Views:  252 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

Run the display traffic policy statistics interface GigabitEthernet 2/0/4 inbound command on the NE40E to view traffic policy statistics. If the following information is displayed, traffic policy statistics fail to be queried.

Info: The policy is not enabled on the specified interface.

NE40E interface configuration:

interface GigabitEthernet2/0/4

undo shutdown

port link-type access

port default vlan 50

traffic-policy class inbound

trust upstream default

Handling Process

After the interface configuration is changed as follows, traffic policy statistics can be viewed.

traffic-policy class inbound vlan 50

Root Cause

When traffic classification is applied to a Layer 2 interface, VLAN configuration must be contained. This indicates the VLAN in which the traffic policy works for the packets. Different traffic policies can be applied to different VLANs on Layer 2 interfaces.

Change the interface configuration.
