How do I obtain the VPC800's ESN used to apply for a new license for license upgrade?
To obtain the ESN of the VPC800, use a Telnet client to connect to its IP address, and then run the getESN command.
1. Confirm that the network port of the VPC800 is enabled. Check whether the OLED menu LAN on the VPC800 is in the ON state. Press the SELECT button on the front panel of the camera to switch to the LAN menu and check whether it is in the ON state. If not, use the MODE button set it to ON.
2. Confirm that the Telnet function of the VPC800 is enabled. Press the SELECT button on the front panel of the camera to switch to the RC menu and use the MODE button to set it to IR-LOCAL (or RF-LOCAL for an RF remote control). Press the delete button twice consecutively to display the OSD menu, move the cursor to TELNET and set its status to ON.
3. Log in to the VPC800 using a Telnet client. The default IP address is192.168.10.110. You can view the IP address with the OSD menu (similar to enabling the Telnet function). The default login password is Change_Me.
. Enter the getESN command to view the device ESN.
