The VPC600/VPC620 camera displays a black screen on a TE endpoint.
1. First check the power supply. If the power adapter shipped with the device is used, turn on the power switch.
2. Check the camera indicator status. Steady green indicates the normal state, steady red indicates the hibernating state, alternate red and green indicates the upgrading state, and blinking red indicates the faulty state. If the indicator is red, call 4008229999 to report the fault.
3. If the indicator is normal, check the HDVI output mode of the camera. There are two buttons on the camera, MODE and SELECT. You can view the selected settings on the camera screen.
Press SELECT once to switch between FLIP, MODE, VIDEO, and other options. When the camera is switched to the HDVI option, check whether its mode is YPbPr. If yes, press MODE to switch to the BOTH or DVI mode, and then press SELECT to save the setting.
This operation checks whether the camera is configured to output signals through the color difference component interface and as a result provides no local image display.
4. On System Status > Input Interface Status
, check whether there is a signal input on the corresponding input port of the TE endpoint. If there is a signal input, the camera resolution is displayed, and in this case check whether an incorrect local video source is selected. If there is no signal input, check whether the video connection cable between the camera and the endpoint is faulty and whether the connector on the endpoint is faulty.
In many cases where a camera displays no image, a possible reason is that mistaken pressing of the MODE button changes the video output format. You are advised to perform Step 3 to rectify the problem.
