Publication Date:  2019-04-04 Views:  180 Downloads:  0

Issue Description

The COM1 port of the TE endpoint is connected to the COM port of a SONY camera. The TE endpoint can properly control the Sony camera. However, after the endpoint is restarted, the camera does not respond, and the power indicator and alarm indicator blink alternately.

Handling Process

1. Check the model of the Sony camera. Change the camera model on the endpoint. The problem persists after the endpoint is restarted.

2. Change the control port of the endpoint to COM2. The problem does not recur after the endpoint is restarted.

Root Cause

The COM1 port of the endpoint is used for debugging, and prints startup information when the endpoint is powered on. However, the COM2 port does not print startup information. After the change of port, the problem is rectified.
