802.1X Authentication Fails When Users Log In to Agile Controller-Campus V1

Issue Description

Users can log in to Agile Controller-Campus only after passing 802.1X authentication. Account A and account B are configured on Agile Controller-Campus. Account A can log in to Agile Controller-Campus from 8. 00 to 17:30 and account B can log in anytime. A user fails to log in to Agile Controller-Campus by entering the username and password of account A, and a message is displayed, indicating that 802.1X authentication fails. However, the user can log in to Agile Controller-Campus by using account B.

Handling Process

Check RADIUS logs, terminal login logs, and authentication policies on Agile Controller-Campus. Check whether the system times of the client, server (Agile Controller-Campus), and switch are consistent. Log in to Agile Controller-Campus by using account A and account B. Both the accounts work properly.

Root Cause

The time on the client is inconsistent with that on the server. As a result, an error occurs during authentication.


Keep the system times on the client, server, and switch be consistent.


Change the authentication failure message to login disallowed in non-working hours.
