ARP Attacks Cause Occasional TE10 Disconnection When the MCU Tries to Call the TE10 into a Conference

Publication Date:  2019-04-08 Views:  40 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

In an internal network consisting of SMC2.0+VP9650+TE10, the TE10 is occasionally disconnected from the conference. If the TE10 is called again after some later, the TE10 can join the conference normally.

Alarm Information

NONE

Handling Process

1. Enable packet capture on the MCU to continuously capture packets for the calling process. Analyze the captured packets and find that the IP address is 192.168.2.40.

2. But later, the MAC address carried in the call is apparently changed.

3. Onsite network engineers find that a device sends camouflage replies to the MCU after the MCU sends ARP packets. This causes a change in the MCUARP table. The problem is rectified after this device is removed.
