Publication Date:  2019-04-10 Views:  20 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Uploading a video to the RSE6500 fails on the RSE6500 web browser.
Alarm Information
None
Handling Process

1. Check whether the uploaded video is in the MP4 format.

Check whether the filename extension of the uploaded video ends with .mp4 or .MP4. If yes, confirm with the user whether the filename extension has been changed from another format to .mp4 or .MP4.

2. Check whether the uploaded MP4 video uses the H.264 video coding and the AAC audio coding.

Use Format Factory or other tools to analyze the audio and video coding formats of the uploaded video.

3. Check whether the size of the uploaded MP4 video is smaller than 2 GB and whether the .zip file size is smaller than 8 GB.

Check the attributes of the uploaded MP4 video and the .zip package. Check whether the size of the MP4 video is smaller than 2 GB and whether the .zip file size is smaller than 8 GB.

4. Check whether the uploaded .zip package meets template requirements.

Decompress the uploaded package and check whether the format of the decompressed file directory is compliant with the template downloaded from the RSE6500.

5. Use a non-Internet-Explorer browser to upload a .zip package larger than 4 GB.

Open a non-IE browser (such as Firefox and Chrome) and upload the .zip package. Check whether the upload is successful. Due to limitations of some IE versions, a .zip package larger than 4 GB cannot be uploaded.

Root Cause

1. The video is not in the MP4 format.

2. The video is in the MP4 format, but does not use the H.264 video coding or the AAC audio coding.

3. The uploaded video exceeds the file size limits of 8 GB for a .zip package and 2 GB for an MP4 video.

4. The .zip package of the uploaded video does not meet template requirements.

5. Use Internet Explorer to upload a .zip package larger than 4 GB.
